According to a Metro staff report, the number of people riding buses and trains in L.A. county has dropped by about 9 percent, from 1.49 million average weekday boardings in 2014 to 1.36 million in the second quarter of fiscal year 2016.
In spite of #LAPDgate which forced LAPD’s top cop to admit he lied, the LAPD commission voted to give Chief Charlie Beck a 2nd term. The lone no vote came from Robert Saltzman, a USC law professor, who most likely understands the level of liability the chief has on the City of Los Angeles taxpayers.
