As Uber continues to wreak havoc across the world with their rideshare app, the taxi industry isn’t going down without a fight. Most states and countries are at odds over the functionality of apps devastating the long standing stronghold of taxi cab companies.
France is considering a ban on new carshare startups from using an app based system to connect drivers and customers. Robin Chase’s Buzzcar should okay if the ban does go into effect since Buzzcar isn’t a startup!

I’m surprised at this post: Uber is NOT carsharing! (It’s not even ridesharing, but that’s a different issue…) And nothing that the French government was considering in the ban of app based alt. taxis had anything to do with “autopartage” – company owned or P2P.
